La Belle Aurore

I have had several books looted in the last two weeks but I’m too tired to post a photo of ‘em all. Anyway, I got my 8th Vonnegut book from La Belle Aurore last Sunday.
If you’re from Cebu, you have to check the place out. YOU REALLY HAVE TO! It’s the best bookshop in this part of the universe. Aside from great and cheap books, the place has a beautiful interior, a wonderful over-all ambiance and a shopkeeper who will not hound you while you are rummaging the shelves for bargains. It even has a Facebook, a Multiply page and a sketchmap so you will never, ever get lost.
See you there.
Russian Film Festival in Cebu (2010)
A new year means a new set of movies shown for free by different film festivals. I’ve been a sucker for these film fests since high school because they were free and I was always broke, I was enthralled with foreign languages and they were always a good reason to hang out with friends on a weekend. Anyway, first Russian Film Festival on Friday and Saturday! See you guys there.

I don’t know which movie to watch but I’ll probably drop by if my summer becomes too boring.
Also, there’s a note written on how the schedules may change and the note is not kidding. It’s best to call the numbers provided before you drag your girlfran/boyfran/friends for a cheap date to the mall. I suggest you invite them on weekdays too.
Crepes and Hebrews Cafe
I am a huge fan of crepes. I particularly adore the Mango Sushi Crepe and Banana Almond Crepe from East West. Last night, my boyfriend and I went to this new cute cafe called Hebrews. It’s a fairly new cafe located in Skyrise 3, Asiatown IT Park, Cebu City. They serve affordable crepes and I got the Banana Nutella while Jonathan got the Mango Crepe, as usual.

I really enjoyed my order and I was delighted to see that they serve Stash teas too! I’ve been dying to try anything from Stash but I couldn’t find the brand in any of the malls I’ve visited so far. I got the peppermint tea and it was tastier than its Twinings counterpart – something I never thought I’d say, being the crazy Twinings fan that I am.

The cafe was lovely too. It had interesting fixtures and the lampshades made of teapots and tea saucers were stunning. I am a sucker for adorable interior designs and Hebrews is so far, the cutest cafe I’ve visited. It looks so much better than the more corporate-looking Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc.
I forgot to bring my camera so here are some crappy photos from my phone’s camera and two more photos from soloflightEd.com:
Anyway, I googled crepe recipes just now and they look surprisingly easy based on the videos. I know that I fail at any kitchen-related activity but I’ve been checking out kitchen tools and accessories and I might just give crepe-cooking a try. :D
